“Quartz-1 × 8C-2” is a narrow-film amateur film camera manufactured by the Krasnogorsk Mechanical Plant from 1974 to 1993.

“Quartz-1 × 8C-2” is the most popular amateur movie camera of KMZ, in all 301 thousand 102 copies were produced. Widely exported under the Kinoflex brand.
    The Quartz-1 × 8C-2 was charged with the Super-8 cassette, both non-separable disposable and collapsible rechargeable type KS-8. The counter of the captured film was reset to zero when changing the tape. The drive of the tape drive is spring-loaded, the filming frequency is 9, 12, 18, 24, 32 frames / second, single-frame shooting with the help of the release cable screwed into the release button.
    The lens with variable focal length "Meteor-8M-1" 1.8 / 9-38.

    With the automation turned off, the diaphragm was set manually, batteries are not needed.
    The device was attached to a pistol grip or to a tripod, the thread of a tripod socket 1/4 inch. Optional tripod socket in the pistol grip.
    The Quartz-1 × 8C-2 was equipped with light filters, a nozzle lens for macro photography and a lanyard.
