Ryan Johnson's uncompromising design of a bearded ax combines modern materials with a classic, martial appearance. The typical elongated blade is made of 1055 carbon steel and has a black coating to protect against corrosion. The blade head can be used as a hammer. The straight handle of the ax is made of Tennessee hickory wood and is ideal for heavy use.
