Description

Original and unrestored Neapolitan style bowl-back mandolin - curved strips of wood forming the bowl -  old instrument with bone tuning pegs; tortoise-shell pick guard  below the sound hole under the strings; selling for repair - paper label  "John Werro Importer and Maker of musical Instruments 39A Essex Road Islington N."  (dating the instrument between1890 to 1912).  The label was loosely attached inside the bowl back (now inside a plastic bag for buyer). Complete with original mandolin case in need of some retoration TLC.
I am not musical Instrument expert please look at 24 photos as part of description detail.

Condition: there are two long tight seam cracks to the bowl back and a split at the top of the neck where it joins the headstock; needs a re string - some old strings present, -  two mother of pearl fret markers missing - apart from this damage; the remaining four strings sound good to me, so with re-string and tuning it may still play well as is - or just display on your wall as is for classic natural look; London English importer/maker label for social history - originally attached to the inside of sound-box. The case is complete, but as noted above would benefit from some TLC
Please refer to photos as part of description.

Size: 60.5cm long and 19.5cm widest across the front bowl
