This is vintage Solway Zipper coat from the British heritage outdoor clothing brand, Barbour. It is made in their olive green Thornproof waxed cotton material (the repairs and belt are made from their later Silkoil material). The collar material is a brown cotton corduroy. The cotton lining is made in the Dress Gordon tartan. Brass press snaps and zipper pulls.


The front of the jacket closes with a metal two way YKK zipper and brass press snaps to close the full length storm flap. The collar closes with a snapped throat latch that can be hidden away with a press snap on the back. There are four pockets total; two at the hips, one on the left breast, and one large poacher’s pocket inside the left hip. There are snaps on the collar for attaching a hood (not included) and snaps along the inside for inserting a winter liner. A belt that appears to have been a replacement is included. please see the measurements at the bottom to ensure a precise fit.


There is one minor hole in the outer material as shown in the pictures. There are patches from repairs at the back of the shoulders, the cuffs, and at the corner of the right hand pocket. It is recommended that while this garment is in your possession you send it in to a Barbour store or participating partner shop for further repairs and reproofing.
