RETIREMENT SALE - WHILE STOCKS LAST

I’m Sam, the founder of the original With Love Crafts. Many will realise this sale has gone on for a while. I refused offers for my business, preferring to sell my stock at cut prices to thank customers for their support over the years. Not realising how much stock accumulates; it is taking considerably longer than imagined, but I can glimpse the end now. I still have enough unlisted items to last a while yet.  As I clear items, I unearth other stock, but so much is limited, unique, one-off items. So please get them while you can. Love Sam ><>)’>

This exceptionally fine Gimp, of a really lovely quality.

How to Use Gimp Thread protector.

I was introduced to Gimp thread protector very early in my beading days & find it extremely useful. Neither me nor any of my bead club make jewellery without it. Initially, I paid around £7 for a 10cm length back in the day, but a little goes quite a long way. When a friend of mine brought me a whole bunch of this high quality gimp in various colours after her trip to India, I was happy to share it with other beaders in my club & it gave me great pleasure to gift short lengths to customers who might find it useful. However, I was bombarded with emails asking what it was for & do I sell it? I decided to put my personal stash up for sale & here is my explanation on how to apply this to your beaded projects.

Being careful not to stretch the coil, cut a short length, up to a centimetre or less. When you are ready to put your bead-work project onto either a finding, jump ring, eye pin, fastener or something similar, pick up the Gimp with your needle & pass onto your thread like a bead. Pass the needle through the Fastener/jump ring etc, then back down through your beads. When you pull the thread tight, it will form a 'horseshoe' shape through the opening of the metal finding. Secure your thread in your usual fashion. This will stop the friction of the thread on metal findings, preserving the life of your piece. It covers the thread & also has the benefit of stopping the thread from falling out through gaps in jump rings. I hope you find this helpful
