JR - William Gaddis 1985 Penguin Edition

This book is in overall good condition. Front and back covers are in very good shape. Spine has some crease lines that don’t impact the binding. Remainder marker line across bottom of pages. First page has a former price and date written in pencil. And somehow the inside front cover looks like it’s been in a toaster. The main detraction is that there are some interesting indentations which are visible on the first page and seem to run through the whole book. But it doesn’t appear to be damage, so I’m operating under the theory that the book was originally bound this way and just due to the large quantity of pages those indentations formed. As a result of those, the pages are hard to open far apart which has kept the spine in good shape and gives the book an unread feel. Aside from the first page, I didn’t see any writing, highlighting, or underlining in the book.
