A very good sample of fossil bearing matrix from the Lower Permian of Waurika, Oklahoma. The sample has been washed and screened and this is the medium grain sized fraction. In these samples it is possible to find fossils of Eryops, Dimetrodon, Orthocanthus, Barbclabornia,  Trimerorhachis, Diplocaulus, plus the remains of fish and coprolites. Amphibians, reptiles, freshwater sharks and fish are often present in each sample. Fossils can take the form of teeth, bones, cartilage and scales but also claws, jaws and skull sections can be found.

Within the sample are abundant freshwater shark and fish remains including teeth, scales and denticles. There are also usually amphibian and reptile teeth. Although this is the fine fraction, it is surprisingly rich in complete specimens. The sample is housed in a vial measuring ~6cm tall.

A microscope is needed to properly sort this material. the imags show typical specimens that can be picked out of this material. Preservation is excellent.

We cannot guarantee exactly what will be found but every sample will contain plenty of fossils. Great for any Permian or shark collection.
