You are purchasing a vintage porcelain mermaid figurine.  It is stamped "Made In Japan Pioneer MDSE. Co. N.Y." on the bottom, see last photo.  It is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, see all photos.  Please note that the tip of the left hand is a bit rough, see photos 4 & 13.  It does not appear that it is chipped but I am not sure.  The figurine measures approximately 4 1/2" tall x 4" long x 1 3/4" wide.  This would make a great addition to your mermaid collection or just a fun, kitschy piece to display.
