LP Moon Wat Banjan
LP.Moon Thitasilo was born on May, Thursday, 1894, at Ban Jan, Kantararom, Sri Saket. He was born in "Sri Songkram" or "Kaew Pak Pin" family. His father name is "Dee", his mother name is "Ua". His family members were just farmers and poor, but he was very clever. His father knew that he was good at Buddhism then the father let him ordained as a neophyte when he 14. He was studying Buddhism with LP.Sida, the abbot of Ban Jan Temple, who was very good at meditation and had very powerful magic. In year 1917, he was 23 years old and ordained as a monk by LP.Sida. The Pali nickname given by LP.Sida is "Thitasilo" which means "The Lawful Person" and studied with many LP. in the area for 4 years. In year 1921, LP.Moon went further to other provinces, the adventure was very hard and dangerous, he had to walk on foot, faced with the forest's ghosts and any other beasts. He did not give up until he reached Taksila Academy of Ban Jik Yai, Piboonmangsahan, Ubon Ratchathani Province for studied Maha Buddhakom Tome, which was the base of Patamang Tome, Itthijay Tome, Maharat Tome and Trinisinghe Tome. The base of mental power Tome especially the book of Pichai Songkram such as Nitiprakasith Tome, Thanurawet Tome, about consecrating magical armors in the time of war. In year 1932-1939, after LP.Moon finished his study from varies academy, he traveled into the woods, passed the backcountries area with bare feet, to Bangkok. He visited and stayed at Thep Thidaram Temple for studied until he finished both Parian 5 and Mulgadjaiyana Sut Tome. He also stayed at Sutat Temple and studied some skills from LP.Pae(Buddhist Pope of Thailand), then stayed at Arunratchawararam Temple to study some skills from LP.Pimoltham. LP.Moon taught Mulgadjaiyana Sut Tome (Pure Pali) for many years before followed LP.Thong Dee wandering to the north into Myanmar for 1 year. After the journey to the north, he walked on foot to the south to stay with LP.Tim of Chang hai Temple for practicing meditation and exchanged magical skills with LP.Tim for about a year before went to Malaysia. Back to Thailand again, he went to study skills from Father Klai Wajasith of Suan Khan Temple, Nakhon Srithammarat Province, and got Chan Mark Med Yai as a relic from Father Klai, and went back to the northeast of Thailand. LP.Moon met up with LP.Si Chantasiri in the forest near Nong Kai Province and studied Lob Phong Si skill from LP.Si which was inherited from Somdej Buddhajan To of Rakang Kositaram Temple. He also met up with LP.Man near Ubon Ratchathani Province and studied higher meditation, but he did not join the group because he was in Mahayan Side (like Catholic and Protestant in Christian). LP.Moon ever told his grandson about the adventure that he had been LP.Man's disciple for a while when he wanted to get Samanatham which is the very deep and complex meditation, only skillful person could reach. LP.Moon stayed with LP.Man for months and traveled alone for practicing until he completely reached it. He knew every well-known LP. such as LP.Waen Sujinno, whom LP.Man ever talked about as a very skillful person, advised LP.Moon to ask LP.Waen if he had any questions about Pariyat Banyat Patibat and other thing over the Phra Tri Sikka Law. LP.Man gave 2 relics to LP.Moon, there are Pan Jan Akara Bai Lan folded into a round candy written with Khmer language "Ye Thamme Hetupaphawa" on it, and King Rama VIII bank note with LP.Man's signature on it which was given later to his mother. LP.Moon continued his traveling to study skills from LP.Singh of Salavan Forest Temple, LP.Jaad of Bang Krabao Temple, and studied Meed Mhor Mahaprab skill from LP.Kam of Kao Kaew Temple and LP.Ngern of Maprang Luang Temple as LP.Derm Buddhasaro of Nong Poj Temple at Nakhon Sawan Province. Moreover, he traveled to the east to Chantaburi Province and studied magical skills and teacher covered from LP.Sorn of Serng Saang Temple. LP.Moon is counted as the one of descendant of Sai Wet Witthaya Buddhakom from Somdej Loon of Nakhon Jampasak, Laos. Somdej Loon is well-known in his mythical power such as walking on the water, shorten the distance, transformation, and walking though the mountain. Old age monks ever tried to find Somdej Loon in order to study the meditation and magical skill from him. LP.Moon himself ever walked to Laos to find Somdej Loon, he spent many years but never found. Until many years later, he met up with a pleasant named Teacher Chan who is the great grandson of Somdej Loon at Nakhon Panom Province. He studied every skill from Teacher Chan, he was advised to study Sai Wet Witthaya Buddhakom from LP.Dam who is the great grandson of Somdej Loon. To be the descendant of LP.Dam, LP.Moon had to pass the intelligence and mental skill tests. There were more than 50 monks took the test with LP.Moon but LP.Dam selected only 3 persons, there are LP.Moon, LP.Song (Muang Temple, Lopburi), and the last one who was forgotten. The Teacher Covered of LP.Dam had 3 things that LP.Moon never forget, there are; 1. Buddhist Monk's Robe 2. Monk's Alms Bowl 3. Gold weight 10 Bath (given back after finish the study) Another rule is, the one who study this skill must not leave the Buddhist Monkhood, or he will die. This is the highest hidden Witthayakom of Somdej Loon of Nakhon Jampasak. The study took very long time and very hard situation to be studied. There was only 4 hours to sleep, one meal a day, with crazy final test in the end. However, many believe that LP.Moon had finished the 4 elemental skill of Somdej Loon which is too deep for normal people to learn. The ones who could learn must have collected very high merit from the last world because to control 4 elements the user had to finish Jatupat Chan first and very specialist in 4 Kasin Jatutat, the 4 elemental as well. After that, LP. Moon came back to stay at Ban Jan Temple and got appointment to be the abbot and Pratuan Level provost "Phra Kru Moon Thitasilo". LP.Moon stayed in religious position for 20 years before retired from every position to spend the rest of his time in practicing Dhamma and meditation. In year 1944, LP.Moon, age 50, wandered alone in to the jungle and accidentally met with "Arjan Joi" and "Arjan Khwan" of Nong Lom Forest Temple on the way. The 2 Arjan invited LP.Moon to please the villagers at Nong Lom Forest Temple for a while. After decades of wandering, in year 1977, LP.Moon went back to Ban Jan Temple to repair and construct the 200 years old temple. The construction went well and finished in the short time, then LP.Moon went forward to repair and construct other temples such as Nong Lom Forest Temple, None Phueng Temple, Sub Lumyai Temple, and Sutat Temple disciple's Temples. These temples later were the auspicious temple for people who respected in the power of LP.Moon. It is not strange that every amulets of LP.Moon is well-known because of the high merit power of LP.Moon. Dying At 7.30 a.m. on March 11, 2003, LP.Moon Thitasilo, the 5 age immortal monk of Ban Jan Temple, Kantararom District, Sri Saket Province, had passed away quietly in the Buddhist monk house, aged 109 years, and 86 years in Buddhist monkhood. Phra Maha Pin, age 87, the abbot of Ban Jan Temple, great grandson of LP.Moon said that "I wasn't at the temple that day because I went to the local area near the temple. LP.Moon stayed with Mr.Amnouy Keawon, his great grandson, he was quiet after drinking his beverage. There was no sign of the dying, but LP.Moon always said that he wanted to go to Nongkai Province, Pak Sei at Ubon Ratchathani Province and cross to Laos to Wen Sai Temple, the temple of Somdej Loon of Nakhon Jampasak, to pay respect to his teachers. He said he wanted to come back before Maha Pagoda universary festival on April 12-13-14, 2003. There will be molding main Buddha Statue ceremony and LP.Moon statue at the festival along with Buddhapisek amulets of immortal monk. I thought that was just a normal word because LP.Moon always told me that his teachers invited him to Nirvana so many times, but he wanted to meet with people who respected in him first. For the body of LP.Moon, the funeral had set at Ban Jan Temple. The disciples and respected people were allowed to bathe the body on 1.30 p.m., March 12, 2003. The funeral continued until Maha Pagoda university festival. The body was contained in a glass coffin, which was brought by his disciples for 200,000 baht, and moved to set inside Maha Pagoda Thitasilo made by his disciples. The Pagoda is located on the temple area, the shape is looks like Phra That Panom Pagoda in the Northeast mixed with Lanna Pagoda of the North. The material of this Pagoda is reinforced concrete and cost 2 million baht. LP.Moon ever told his disciples that he doesn't want his body to be burnt. He wanted his body to be kept in glass coffin inside this Pagoda. In fact, LP.Moon wanted respected people to pay respect to his body and get favorable things because he was a skillful magic user, respected by everyone, lone monk who had very high and pure merit. Jakkrit Klangsastra, the close disciple of LP.Moon, said that LP.Moon is a well-known monk of the Northeast, his amulets are in needed for the collectors because they are powerful in Mettamahaniyom and Klaewklad. He was a very old monk, there was no sign of suddenly dying because he was looked healthy with his high merit. Even LP.Hong the well-know monk of Tungmon Graveyard, Prasat District, Surin Province, had ever let LP.Moon touched his head. When people asked LP.Hong about LP.Moon, LP.Hong always raised the respect hands above his head and told his disciples that LP.Moon is a highly holy monk.
