Listed for sale here is a NAD Electronics D 3020 Hybrid Digital DAC Amplifier w/ Remote Control

Seems to have intermittent operation. The touch interface works fine, the LEDs are bright enough to properly illuminate the front. One side of the amp has some kind of plastic/rubber material coating that has degraded and become gummy (see last pic)

However, the last time I tried to power it on, the amber power light turns white, as expected; lights on front panel blink a few times as expected; then the power light turns red briefly, then goes back to amber.

I've read in several forums that this is indicative of a problem with some transistors.

It's a very compact digital amp with surface mounted components that are beyond my capabilities to repair.
