SOLWAY & BORDERS MAP, PLATE 75, intended for BARTHOLOMEW'S SURVEY ATLAS OF ENGLAND & WALES 1939 but never bound in.

A virtually perfect double-page coloured map, produced for inclusion in Bartholomew's Survey Atlas of England & Wales (published in 1939 and now very scarce), but was never used, and was obtained several years ago from the publishers, who had stored it since 1939. This will be of great interest to local historians, and it shows a multitude of features, including railway stations, which no longer exist, and of course lacks a lot of new features which weren't there in 1939. It will look splendid in a frame.

Apart from very minor signs of handling, it's in mint condition.
