"Victorian 9ct Gold Belcher Link Long Chain Muff/ Guard" Circa 1900

The chain is in very good condition with no repairs or damage and it is complete with a secure dog clip clasp, there is some wear to the links commensurate with its age and use.

The chain is not marked but it has been tested as 9 carat gold by both the XRF gun and the traditional acid test, the dog clip is marked “9ct” for 9 carat gold and it has a swivel fitting. The chain measures 160cm or 60” in length and the link measures 3mm wide, it weighs a heavy 41.1 grams. The dog clip makes the chain a very versatile piece whereby a host of different things can be hung on the chain such as a quizzing glass, a locket or a fob etc.

A lovely example of an antique solid 9 carat gold chain which would be a stunning addition to any collection of vintage and antique jewellery, which simply cannot be found on your local high street jewellery store. Don’t miss this opportunity to acquire this beautiful chain.
