Pop art composition (Lady Liberty).

Mixed media on paper. Size of the present painting is 23 x 21 centimeters. Signature Peter Max can be found in the lower margin of the painting. This artwork is also marked on reverse by a previous collection mark (reference number in pencil and stamp). The work is in very good condition for its age, colors create the desired contrast, are vivid and are well preserved, but we also notice yellowing of the paper. Peter Max is American artist known for his unique brand of rainbow-hued prints and paintings, which he has created since the early 1960s. Employing painterly strokes, his illustrations incorporate a wide spectrum of colors and patterns as seen in his Umbrella Man series. “I'm just wowed by the universe.
