Replacement
socket for M33/M36T/M36T2 range of immobilisers. If the RK36S touch-key
no longer functions check the connection pins inside the socket. Using a
torch or other light source look inside the socket hole (see photos), visible should
be three connection pins, two pins on one side one at each end, and a
single pin in the centre position on the opposite side. If any of these
pins are missing the socket will require replacement. This kit simply
plugs into the socket found on the control.
M36 immobilisers have a lifespan of around twenty years, give or take a couple, after which they can fail for no reason, this is usually shown when the LED no
longer flashes & the touchkey no longer functions. The only option when this happens is
removal and/or replacement. This cable will not fix a faulty immobiliser, if the LED no longer flashes will more than likely indicate the M36 has become faulty, the LED itself rarely fails on the socket.
