The O-ring fits between the heating block and the pod (capsule) holder. Its life is limited due to the high temperature and pressure & the movement to which it is subjected and is particularly likely to fail if the device is not used regularly

If the machine is leaking clear water into the waste/overflow container or internally and out through the base, it is likely that failure of this seal is the cause. 

There are many instruction videos on YouTube describing how to access and replace this seal. 

Search YouTube for the video uploaded by Adrian B. in December 2022 which, in my opinion, is the best and has generally found favour with watchers.
