Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition 1968 Black Paisley Stratocaster Relic [SN.CZ575292] [Re-Order Model]

A reorder product of a model that was spot produced in 2018! ! Black Paisley 68 Strat with large head and modern/with synchro logo! !

This one is based on a 1968 Stratocaster with a maple fingerboard neck! !
Adopts an alder body carefully selected for Fender Custom Shop products by our wood selection specialist staff. The pickguard is a 3-ply parchment guard with 11 points and covered with Black Paisley paper. Like the body, the neck material is carefully selected from Liftson maple wood. The radius of the round maple fingerboard is a slightly flat 9.5R, and the frets are medium-sized and narrow-tall. The body finish is a poly-based lacquer top coat, with irregular weather checks and damage such as dents here and there, but it has a texture that gives you a sense of the sturdiness typical of poly. The neck finish uses tan urethane paint, and only the top of the head is lacquered. The lacquer finish on the top of the head is one tone darker. There is a detailed weather check that can be seen by holding it up to the light, and it reproduces the deterioration that allows you to tell the difference in paint just like vintage. Of course, the modern logo will be under the top coat.
The neck grip uses a grip measured from a vintage 1963 Strat. The grip is one size thicker than the 60s Oval C. It is characterized by getting thicker as you go from the low position to the high position.
The hardware includes a synchronized tremolo with a PAT.PEND. engraved saddle, and the machine head is equipped with a vintage F-key peg.
The custom shop's live sound, which is superior to any other Fender model with its bolt-on structure and clear live sound, has a different level of atmosphere and sound thickness when output from the amplifier. What's more, the resonance achieved by the relic finish is such that you can fully experience the vibration of the body and neck just by playing one chord. Its overwhelming live sound is so comfortable that you can play it for hours without having to output it from an amplifier, and it has a quality that can only be experienced at a custom shop.

The pickups that reproduce that wonderful sound are all hand-wound pickups. The impression is that the amplifier outputs an acoustic atmosphere with richer harmonics than a normal machine-wound one. By installing a different model in each position, we have adopted a well-established set that has been calibrated for sound. The neck is equipped with a 69 single coil, Fat 50s in the middle, and Texas Special in the bridge. The clean sound has thick wound strings and clear plain strings, and the drive sound has a rich midrange and is well-balanced and easy to handle.
The control uses VINTAGE MODIFIED STRAT#2. The volume control is a BLEED custom based on a high-pass capacitor that combines a ceramic capacitor and a resistor, and the tone control uses FENDER paper wax capacitors that match each position. With BLEED Custom, it is possible to reduce the volume while maintaining the mid-high range even when the volume is turned down. The volume control is useful as a gain control: full volume creates a lead tone, around 70% gives a backing tone, and below 50% gives a clean/crunch gain control. Compared to a typical high-pass condenser, the tone retains the midrange and doesn't become too thin. By selecting the appropriate capacitor value for each position of the neck, middle tone, and bridge tone, the tone control capacitor not only maintains the overall tone balance but also produces an attractive sound when the tone is cut.
It has a moderate relic feel and a finish that is typical of the large head period, using poly/urethane paint. There are very few models with black paisley pattern, so don't miss out on this one, which has great sound and looks! !
