Details: Excellent undamaged condition antique 830S silver demitasse spoon by renowned Danish silversmith Evald Nielsen (1879-1958) has only light wear from normal use. Handle front is engraved "Evanston, Ill." in script. Spoon is circa 1920's & is in the Arts & Crafts stylized floral pattern designated "No. 3". As an added bonus, a green beautiful chrysoprase cabochon decorates the finial.
Handle reverse is properly hallmarked with 4 impressed stamps: "No 3" (pattern number), "S" within a circle of dots, "EN" (Evald Nielsen's initials), "830" (designates silver purity of 830/1000). Reverse of spoon bowl is stamped "DENMARK".
The spoon is enclosed in a plastic bag with a black tarnish prevention strip. Storing items with silver content in a bag like this keeps moisture off the piece and should minimize silver oxidation & provide a longer time before polishing is needed to keep it bright.
