THE LAST 3 PICTURES IN GALLERY ARE OF 3 OTHER LISTINGS IN OUR STORE OF BUGS BUNNY & ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS SALE. ONLY THE FIRST 3 CELS IN PHOTO GALLERY AND THAT ARE FEATURED IN VIDEO ARE INCLUDED. WE INCLUDED THE OTHER PICTURES IN CASE YOU MAY HAVE AN INTEREST.

Do note be fooled by the number we have listed, these are actually pretty rare as they were actually used in the films and there are no other copies.  We just stumbled on a collection and once they are gone, they are gone. Not many people let these go.

Also, if you decide to buy multiple listings in our store as many collectors have on these cels, please let us know so we can help with bundling for shipping.

This sale has three very nice hand painted Original Animation Production Cels from Chuck Jones featuring Bugs Bunny's face (headshot) from the Looney Tunes TV special "A Connecticut Rabbit In King Arthur's Court", another classic film by Jones.  This film was made in association with Warner Brothers of course and produced during a very prolific period for Chuck Jones during the 1970's.  He made a number of TV specials during this era including others such as three made for TV films by Jones from "The Jungle Book".  "The White Seal" 1975 & "Mowgli's Brothers" 1976 & Rikki Tikki Tavi 1975.  He also did "A Cricket in Times Square" & it's sequel, "Yankee Doodle Cricket" & more.  We have cels listed or to be listed from those films as well.  We also have other Warner Brother's cels with Bugs Bunny, Wile E. Coyote & others.

These authentic cels are getting tougher to find as time goes by due to the growing collector interest in this collecting genre & hobby and finding ones that are so close in sequence in a bundle is nearly impossible.  The cels, mattes & background boards are in excellent condition, but not mint (not that any cels are).  The mattes have some minor wear in corners, but nothing impacting appeal of the cels.  The painted faces are clear with sharp coloring giving them a good display appeal as shown.  The Red background D4 92 Cel has some minor scuffs to surface of the cel, but nothing really effecting its appeal.  We tried to capture those in pictures in gallery. Please review all pictures taken to assist you with determining condition & use the zoom feature if needed, but they look terrific.  These are firmly matted & suitable for framing if you choose. The pictures in the gallery shot at an angle with light kind of highlights the painted artwork by catching the drawing and raised paint surface.  We will include the 3 Paper COA's shown in photo #1, one on tan paper, two on white (that's how we got these).

The background color seen is on the matting board as the cels are clear sheets except for painting & marked numbering & certification stamp. We are pricing this under what we feel is a fair value given it's appeal & rarity and below many listed or sold of this quality.  Prices on these authentic pieces can sometimes go to more than double our listing prices, but we encourage buyers to do their own research on such and not rely on our opinion.  If you decide to buy more than one of our eBay listed cels or bundles of  cels by Chuck Jones, let us know and we may offer a discount on multi item purchases.

The collector we acquired this work from had literally hundreds of rare production cel pieces from various works by Jones, many in consecutive series, which we have personally not seen much outside of a studio sale 20 years ago perhaps.  This has a Chuck Jones Production mark on lower left of cel & a standard COA Paper that came with them when purchased (1 tan, 2 white).

Chuck Jones (Sept 21, 1912 - Feb 22, 2002) is among the elite of the elite cartoon artists & film innovators in history.  If you are looking at this listing, you likely already know this.  In his extensive career he created such characters as the Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote, Pepe LePew, & Marvin the Martian (and others) as well as helping refine the characters of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd, Porky Pig & more along the way.  Each of these hand painted cels are from an animation artist's hand & a part of cartoon film history.  We feel the collecting of Authentic Animation Art is truly one of the neatest collectible genres.  Not only do you get a piece of a gifted artist's work, each piece is part of a living history of the movies and films they were used in & they make exceptional display items.  It's a bit like owning a World Series game used bat from a baseball player, at least we feel that way. But in this case the World Series never ends as the cartoons keep playing & playing.

We have dozens of these original Chuck Jones Animation Cels in our store and a few more coming to market (but no more Bugs Bunny).  We sell some in bundles or series & others as individual pieces, but all will offer something special. We even have many in small sequences (running production numbers), extremely hard to find.  We have Bugs Bunny, Tucker the Mouse, Wile E Coyote & many characters from Rikki Tikki Tavi, A Cricket in King Arthur's Court, White Seal, Carnival of Animals & more.  A bunch have already sold!

Please Note: There may be some image reflection & distortion present in pictures as cels are  plastic (or acetate) & reflective of course.  (In some cases, we may photograph artwork in different light settings to try and capture a painting, sculpture or other artwork's look in different settings.  Therefore there may be some variations in color from one picture to another.  The photos are not altered, but may have been photographed in a brighter room, with natural light, a flash feature or other.  Also, we try to note any visible defects we can see but there may be wear or imperfections we miss.  Please view all pictures taken for your consideration and use zoom feature if needed.  Likewise, you can always notify us with questions.)

Please Read: See our Feedback & Buy with confidence.  We ship with extreme care and all items are fully insured!  We often take from 30-90 minutes packing more delicate & odd sized items to make sure your treasure is protected.  We also photograph most items above $100 while packing in case a shipper were to ever damage an item (only 1  time in over 2,000 US shipped sales).  For this reason, if an item is ever damaged, it will be the Buyer's responsibility to file a claim with the shipping service and we can provide photos from packing to assist Buyers.  The process is not difficult, but the timing of such does not allow adequate time for the item to be returned to us and then for us to proceed with a claim (chain of custody questions can arise as well on returned items due to double shipping and handling so it is just easier for Buyers).  So again, as noted in listing, we do not offer returns. Of course, there is free local pick up and we can meet to assist if you are near Indianapolis or driving through.  We do this often.

We require signature confirmation your item if it is above $100, so plan accordingly.  Also, we have discounts with FedEx & eBay on shipping which do not always show up in eBay estimates on shipping. We try to refund what we can when there is a notable difference, but we do not know until we actually process the shipping order.
