Vintage Metal Ceiling Light Shade, Rose Pendant & Bulb Full Set Antique Brass
The shade is in very good condition with some small marks and scratches to the top but these would be hardly noticeable when fixed to your ceiling. The rose pendant and bulb are in excellent condition and everything is in full working order. No fixings or plugs are supplied.
Fantastic complete set of everything you need - vintage shade, ceiling rose pendant and real incandescent filament bulb. I think the shade is from the Long Life Lamp Company, rose pendant Dunelm and bulb is Homestia branded.
The shade, ceiling rose and bulb holder are all made from solid metal with a beautiful antique brass finish which would really complement a period property or vintage/retro setting.
The shade has a diameter of 28cm, the inside is white which reflects most of the light downwards to give a really nice, bright effect (depending on the power of the bulb used).
The cable attaching the ceiling rose to the bulb holder is covered in a dark brown retro fabric and has a drop of 44cm/17.5" approx. there is a little more cable inside the ceiling rose itself. It can easily be shortened to suit your setting requirements.
Requires an E27 (Edison screw) bulb which is included - or keep as a spare and use your own. The ceiling rose is really easy to fit, there are no instructions, fixings or plugs supplied. There are 2 wires - brown (live) and blue (neutral) there is no earth wire as the pendant is double insulated.
The included metal bracket screws flush with the ceiling - there are two additional holes drilled in it which should correspond to the fixing holes in most plastic pendants. The bracket then hooks onto the ceiling rose and is secured with the included antique brass coloured screws.
The bulb has an incandescent filament (it's not LED) which gives a lovely warm white glow that can't be exactly replicated by other bulbs. It uses 60W and is perfect for mood lighting.
The shape is a 'squirrel cage' ST58 and it has an E27 (Edison screw) base. Colour temperature is warm white 2300-2400K.
