Thunderbird Totem
Item no. 20337

It is said that the Thunderbird resides on the top of a mountain and is a servant of the Great Spirit.  It is described as a giant bird, capable of creating storms and thundering while it flies.  Clouds are pulled together by its wing beats, the sound of thunder made by it wings clapping and lightning is the light flashng form it eyes when it blinks.  Intelligent, powerful and, like the unpredictable weather of the plains, wrathful, the native plainspeople venerated this mighty creature by depicting it in totems and performing ceremonial dances in its honor.
