Fine vintage Chinese chess set with light blond and dark brown carved pieces and an exceptional inlay folding board.
The board has solid black squares alternating with cream squares decorated with etched and painted scenes, figures, poems and writing, each a little work of art.
The chess pieces fit into red felt lined drawers.
There are carved dragons around the wooden sides framing the board.
The board is 18" square, set is 7" thick when folded.
Each of the pawns is a different immortal figure, all the pieces are superb Asian figures.
When folded there are brass handles for carrying.
