A rare cased English solid sterling silver chatelaine. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1996 with the maker’s marks being that of Geoffrey Francis Mansell. It has been superbly designed being cast in a Celtic Romano British style, maybe a copy of an ancient piece? It is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. The case is also is superb condition. They measure approx. 13.75 inches (35cm) long by 2 inches (5.1cm) wide and is heavy having a combined weight of 194 grams excluding the case. A very good quality well made piece.
