Breedlove Wildwood Pro Concerto Suede CE African Mahogany African Mahogany
As exotic tonewoods go, solid African mahogany is one of the greats. Visually, its straight grain is clean, alluring, and warm with a rich, inviting sound that matches the look. Our largest body shape, the Wildwood Pro Concerto Suede CE’s mahogany top rings, with excellent note separation and a strong midrange presence despite the instruments power and volume. As an alternative to the ubiquity of spruce, all mahogany instruments provide a thrilling change of pace, especially for artists looking to expand their sound or distinguish themselves. Balance big and bold sound with the warmth and definition of mahogany with a soft cutaway Wildwood Pro Concerto Suede CE. With stage-ready Fishman Flex Plus-T electronics and a gig bag, this guitar will take you as far as your talent and hustle can go.
Sustainable & Clear Cut Free
Made from sustainably-sourced exotic and native tonewoods. No clear-cut trees are used in these instruments. Breedlove uses salvaged and individually harvested timber and has deep relationships with responsible suppliers around the globe. As we move towards sustainability across all lines, owner Tom Bedell has visited 15 countries to discover exactly where the wood comes from, how it is selected and harvested, and how this affects the wildlife, the community, the forest and the planet.
Introducing the new Breedlove Concerto, a new guitar shape created to elicit more volume than a classic dreadnought, and more lush, complex tonal resonance in a comfortable body shape that feels just right. Loud, textured, and supremely satisfying.
Conceived in the shadow of the Cascade Mountain Range, Breedlove’s Cascade Bracing delivers pinnacle acoustic soundand American ingenuity in guitars for everyone.
Every USA made Breedlove guitar gets hand-voiced by one of our builders in Bend, Oregon. These craftspeople achieve sonic perfection by meticulously shaping each instrument’s internal bracing. But, we’re not just artists and artisans, we’re guitar geeks. We keep meticulous records—every refinement, every change, every delicate curl of wood off the chisel gets logged in our database.
We used all that combined knowledge and experience to answer a simple question: “How can we make our accessible, production guitars sound even closer to the showpieces from our Custom Shop?” The answer? Cascade Bracing
No Richlite or resin impregnated softwoods, no glue-heavy plywoods: just solid real tonewoods for real tone.
Side-mounted Fishman Flex Plus-T electronics with volume, treble, bass, and phase controls, plus on onboard tuner. For detailed information on the electronic, please reference the Fishman user manual.
Sometimes called khaya, African mahogany has a familiar crisp, clean and warm voice and boasts an impressive versatility, taking well to fingerpicking as well as to a more robust strumming attack without losing clarity. All mahogany instruments—like the Organic Collection Wildwood Series (which features sustainably harvested wood source from the Republic of Congo) offer a natural compression that delights blues players, folkies and singer/songwriters.
