Carabiner Catches or Trigger catches are held closed by a spring and are most commonly used in the creation of charm bracelets and necklaces and are attached to the ends via a split ring or a jump ring.
 
The catch is easily opened by simply pulling the Trigger back, usually using your finger nail or something of similar size.
