[Used] FENDER / 1964 Jazzmaster Sunburst [S/N L25725]

A 1964 Fender Jazzmaster is now in stock.

Fender's jazz guitar model was created in 1958 to compete with G Company, which was the strongest in the jazz music scene at the time. A newly developed body shape, switches and tremolo unit that were inspired by the surf music of the time. You can tell that Fender put a lot of effort into this guitar at the time, including inserting shims to set the neck angle just before shipping.

The one that arrived is one from 1964. Serial: L25725, neck date is "4 JUL 63B", and was manufactured in 1963.

The body is 12/63. This one is also made in 1963. There was no replacement of the assembly, and the color of the solder suggests that everything is original. The pickup is a black bobbin (with 64 date), and the sponges for height adjustment on both front and rear are hard and deteriorated.

The Pot Date is 137-6410, made in 1964. The Vol and Tone on the preset sound switch side are not visible, but judging from the visible parts, it seems to be original. The capacitor is also original.

Judging from the Pot Date, PU Date, serial number, etc., we believe it was made in 1964.

The original pickguard has been deformed due to aging and is distorted overall. There is also some slight cracking on the selector knob.

Replacement parts include frets, nuts, control knobs, and bridges. The beautiful red color remains throughout, and considering the model year, it is highly original and in good condition. The truss rod has plenty of room and playability is good.

The Jazz Master has been rising in price in recent years. One of the most classic and universally appealing sunburst colors. This guitar is in excellent player's condition and will last a lifetime.

Please consider this opportunity.
