This sale is for a silver plate trophy bowl that measures 7 1/2 inches in diameter and weighs about 10 ounces. This piece is not hallmarked, but is engraved on the front "ST. LOUIS NATIONAL HORSES HOW FALL 1949 THREE GAITED AMATEUR   DONATED BY MR. & MRS. A. LAURIE". This piece came from the estate of Josephine Abercrombie from the Pin Oak Horse Farm in Versailles, Kentucky.  Her farm raised numerous award winning horses and she was very involved in business and philanthropy.  As a young woman, Abercrombie competed in horse shows across the nation.  There is much more information online about her amazing life.  This piece is in good condition with a couple of small dents in the bottom of the bowl.  The shadows in the photos are due to the reflective nature of this piece.
