Original WW2 British Army RAMC First Field Dressing 1938


Genuine first field dressing as used by RAMC personnel and carried by every soldier in the small pocket to the top of their battledress trousers during the Second World War. The first field dressing was issued to treat gunshot wounds. It consists of two small bandages, one for the entry wound and the other for the exit wound.

The dressing is an early dated example which would has been issued to soliders in the early stages of the Second World War such as the Phoney War, Battle of France and Dunkirk era.



The dressing is in original condition with only some minor soiling form age. Features a manufacture name to the front for T.J. Smith & Nephew Ltd and dated 1938 (see pictures).
