UP FOR SALE TODAY WE HAVE "THE HISTORICAL COLLECTIONS OF THE DANVERS HISTORICAL SOCIETY - VOLUME 30 -- DANVERS, MASSACHUSETTS - PUBLISHED BY THE SOCIETY - 1942"(1942 FIRST EDITION COPY OF THIS BOOK)--

Here we have a good, First Edition copy of this collection of researches done by members and friends of the Danvers Historical Society. This volume features the second half of an article on the Tapley family and Tapleyville, an area in central Danvers that includes where the Rebecca Nurse house is located. The triangular area enclosed by Hobart Street, Pine Street, and Centre/Collins Street was once known as Tapleyville, because most of the land and the houses in the area were owned by Tapleys. A map in this book shows where the 17th and 18th century houses were, with the Rebecca Nurse house near the center of the map. There are also several other articles in this book, but I found this one to be the most interesting.--
