I purchased these gems from Guatemalan families on one of my many amazing trips to Panahachel, Guatemala back in the 1980s.

These purchases would fund my Grateful Dead tour. I would literally sell/trade/gift these for money/gas/food/and who knows what else;)

After touring shows all over the great USA, I would fly back to Guatemala/buy some more crafts/stay for weeks at a time/under the Sun/Moon/Vulcanos! Surreal life. Learned Spanish too.

I have been holding on to these for decades but now I must let my treasures go.

According to the old legend, a person who receives a friendship bracelet from a friend must make a wish—when the bracelet falls off—their wish will come true.
