RSX Processor replaced with 40nm RSX from a PS3 slim. We have stock of NEW UNUSED chips.
RSX Core Voltage modified to 1.0V on 65nm and 0.95V on 40nm using Sony's official method.
Replacement of all Thermal pads with new high quality +10 W/mk pads. We use pads the same size and thickness, in the same places as Sony put them. We never put them on the CELL or RSX. We do add one pad for the HDMI encoder.
PS3 Motherboard will be cleaned with electronics wash
Exterior plastic pieces washed with detergent, including the metal shell around the motherboard, and lightly polished. All of the dirt in the vents will be cleaned.
Replace internal system battery (CMOS) with an easily user replaceable CR2032 battery
Inspect and replace leaking PSU capacitors

Your PS3 will ALWAYS be worked on while on a board jig to prevent mainboard flex, ESPECIALLY when DELIDDING A PROCESSOR. I've seen way too many videos of people delidding processor on their laps. We NEVER delid processor with the board on our laps or on a table where the mainboard can flex and break solder connections. This is how you get an intermittent problem that nobody can fix.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Polish heatsink to a mirror surface. Allows for increased heat transfer from the processor to the heatsink.
$30. Feel free to send in additional heatsinks for your other consoles.
NEC TOKIN Replacement. We use high quality, Low ESR KEMET tantalum capacitors, and phat console receive an additional set of MLCC capacitors to provide additional signal filtering. These caps cost almost $2 a piece and your console will need 12 per processor, plus an additional 24 MLCC capacitors. Were not upcharging much considering the time involved to replace them.

FACTS YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE ORDERING
There is always the possibility your console will be a paper weight, or a boat anchor if you have one, after this process.
Solder pads on the circuit board can lift during the repair process. Some can be repaired some cannot.
BGA assemblies and circuit boards are not designed to be reworked multiple times. Your board will be subject to temperatures of 250C (482F), components can fail at these temps, regardless of their age. Most systems have had some crazy things done to them with heat guns in an attempt to fix them. Heat gun repairs are known to kill CELL and RSX processors because when their repair fails they put more and more heat into the CELL and RSX processors killing them 9/10 times.
SHIPPING
Console must be shipped with proper protection. Thick padding on all sides of shipping box.
Dont spend hundreds of dollars to fix your PS3 then try to save $10 by using a weak box and insufficient padding.
If shipping prices are higher than normal let us know. We dont know the box size you will be using.

We will dump the syscon error log and contact you if errors point to something other than a bad RSX processor.
SYSTEM REQUIRES 24-48 HOURS DRYING TIME TO ENSURE NO MOISTURE IS IN THE CHIP OR BOARD.
Console will be completed and returned to you promptly. Repair process might take a few hours but diagnostics can take days. We do have other clients that require service.
