STK 3571 1965 Ford Mustang GT 350 Tribute

The introduction of the Mustang created a new class of automobile known as the 'Pony Car'. The Mustang's styling, with its long hood and short deck, proved wildly popular and inspired a host of competition. The first GEN 1 Mustang was manufactured from 1964-1/2 until 1973 and this fully restored 1965 GT350 Tribute is a stunning example of the 2+2 model, but with serious mechanical upgrades. This fastback has won 'Best of Show' trophies at events all over the southeast. The virtually flawless body was professionally reshot in 2-stage Calypso Coral (Ford color) w/black stripes. Accents include 'Shelby' hood, side windows, front apron, rear spoiler and gas cap. All chrome/stainless pieces are new and custom door handles have been installed – everything is top-shelf. Coys 'C-67' machined alloys w/spinners mount 17" Riken performance radial tires. The interior has been reupholstered in black vinyl and features Pro Touring II bucket seats, Vintage Air, Ididit tilt column w/Grant wheel, AM/FM sound system, fold down rear seat w/new hardware and all new weatherstripping. There is also a new cruiser console and dash pad/carpeting/headliner. Other features include a carbon-fiber-look gauge pod w/AutoMeter gauges/tach, new tinted windshield/windows, billet pedals and chrome door striker plates.

This Mustang was a 'C' code car from the factory – 289ci/2V Windsor. That engine is gone, replaced with a balanced/blueprinted 302ci HO motor with extensive mechanical upgrades.
• Eagle forged crank
• Trick Flow flat-top pistons
• Trick Flow Twisted Wedge 170cc heads
• CompCam hyd. roller (280 duration/.560" lift)
• Speedmaster Downdraft 8-Stack Intake Manifold System
• Fast EZ-2.0 EFI Self-Tuning System
• Fast Dual-Sync distributor
• MSD ignition system
• Raptor serpentine belt system
• Aluminum radiator w/fan
• Milodon 8-qt oil pan
• Tube headers and stainless Flowmaster exhaust

The motor is nicely dressed with Edelbrock/chrome accessories and the spotless engine compartment is fitted with Scott Drake alloy hood hinge components and Scott Drake shock tower caps/brace. Power is delivered via a Tremec T-5 manual gearbox to a positraction differential with 3.89:1 gearing. The clean, solid chassis is equipped with power steering, power 4-wheel Baer disc brakes, sway bars, full frame connectors, gas shocks and a new fuel tank. If you want a head-turning Blue Oval, this outstanding, award-winning Mustang 2+2 has your name on it. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
