Kibria is an ultra-early ripening cucumber hybrid from the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan, bred in 2009. Designed for growing in winter-spring and spring-summer rotations in greenhouses and farms.

The variety is parthenocarpic (pollination is not required). Suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in a greenhouse. Yield is high due to strong binding. It is better to grow this culture on a grid or trellis.

Plants are open, vigorous, female-type flowering, indeterminate (the growth of the main stem was not interrupted by a flower brush); the development of lateral shoots is limited. From 2 to 5 fruits are tied in one leaf axil. The leaves are green, medium in size.

The main fruiting of Kibria cucumber is concentrated on the main stem. In this regard, rather non-standard formation of bushes is recommended. First, it is necessary to blind the first 4 - 7 sinuses (depending on the timing of planting) on the main stem. Next, on the main stem, all side shoots and extra ovaries are removed (if there are more than 3 in a node) up to the trellis (height - up to 2.7 m). Then the stem is thrown over the trellis and lowered down, pinched after 4-5 leaves. On the trellis leave 1 - 2 lateral escapes of the first order. It is also desirable to remove the mustache. With this formation, the plant remains open to sunlight (artificial lighting) and cucumbers are poured faster. This technique is especially relevant in the period of low light. At the same time, the recommended planting density is 2.6 - 3 plants. / sq.m (2.2 - with early landings).

Greens are recommended to be collected every day. When collecting greens every other day, the number of overgrown fruits increases. At the same time, the commercial harvest is reduced by 20%. The recommended length of the fruit for collection is 10 - 11 cm. Cucumber Kibria

Fruits are aligned, short, oval-shaped, with medium-sized tubercles often located; the ratio of the length of the fruit to the diameter is 3.2: 1. The weight of the green leaf is 70 - 90 grams. The skin is rich dark green with short light stripes. Spikes are white, which are not prickly. The pulp is dense, juicy, without bitterness and voids.
