This set of 9 volumes features dark green boards and gilt spine art.  Their condition is good though well worn.  The gilt spines are faded and edges are worn (best seen in the first 3 photos).  A few seams have some splitting (see 4th photo).  There is some writing in the front of two of the volumes (see 8th photo) and a little in volume two (sample in photo 11).  Otherwise, the pages are clean.  There is an illustration at the front of each volume.  This set also includes a "notice of Mr. Poe's life and works" written in 1845 by James Russell Lowell.
