Japanese Meiji Ginger Jar, lidded, blues, porcelain cloisonne totai shippo

Cloisonne on porcelain was only produced for a short period during the Meiji.
This was made at the earliest in 1880, and at the latest by 1920.
My guess is that it was made at the later end of this time frame.

A really lovely unusual piece of cloisonne on porcelain.
There are various nibbles to the porcelain rim of the jar, and tiny areas of thinning in the glaze/enamel.
It still makes for a good piece to display.

The rough measurements are about 17 cms high, and about 11 cms diameter at the widest.
