Items are in used condition but restored to as close as new as possible. The console itself may have small marks, dents or scratches as they were built in some cases longer than 40 years ago.
Why buy from me?
All Atari consoles are dismantled, cases cleaned thoroughly, bezels restored (if fitted), circuit boards are cleaned and tested, capacitors, resistors and voltage regulators are replaced with brand new parts. Switches are restored (or replaced) for smooth operation and problematic IC's are replaced (TIA, RIOT and CPU). The console is then tested to ensure 100% working order.
Some consoles are professionally upgraded with a quality (Australian made) AV modification for hassle free connection to later model televisions. Please refer to listing title 'av modification'
The restoration process replaces and restores components that have or are likely to fail. You should get another 40+ years from after I have worked on the console. My costs are a little higher than an advertised "working" unit but reflect the work that is completed.
