Very Rare Sevres porcelain Cup & Saucer with Rich Gilding and Platinum Decoration c1800s. This example is of the Highest Quality as you rarely seen Platinum decoration on Sevres and when it is found it's a lot of money - I have only found a few examples on the internet. The last Photo shows a same shape cup and saucer albeit without the Platinum decoration which sold for $1,600 plus buyers Premium at Stair Auction Gallery New York on the 21st October 2021. This example looks perfect on display but does have a few faults, small nick stuck back on the rim of the cup, the cup also has a small star line on the bottom which you can see in photo 11, This does not really show up on the front due to the profuse decoration unless looked from close, The saucer has two small parts of the edge of the saucer stuck back.
