Vintage NeXT Computer NeXTstation N1100 

For sale- a Vintage NeXT Computer NeXTstation N1100 as pictured.  The computer sports a Motorola XC68040 processor running at 25MHz, and 36MB of RAM installed.  When powered up it goes to a SCSI self test but fails, reporting Error 65 which is the same error I got with a Cube, so I am guessing that simply tells you the hard drive has been wiped.  Installed hard drive is a Seagate ST1280N, and it also has the floppy drive installed.  The chip beside the CPU is dated 1991 and shows Release 2.2 if that tells you anything.

I have a world class collection of NeXT computers, so I had the necessary pieces to be able to power this up.  NONE of these other pieces are included in the sale even if you can see them in the pictures.  The ONLY thing you are buying here is N1100 “Slab” computer, nothing else.  The case is in very good condition although there may be a trace of goo remaining from the surplus stickers, but you should expect the usual scuffs and scratches.  The monitor screen shots are from an N4000A MegaPixel Display (again, not included) which looks a bit out of focus to me.  That is the monitor, not the computer, as it was the same on the Cube I tested until I switched to a different monitor.

Given the age I am offering this for parts, repair or refurbishing.  All items are sold as is with no warranty offered unless one is specifically stated.  However, IF you pay the Buy It Now price and find a problem that you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it for a refund of the purchase price.  Accepted Best Offers are strictly as is sale and no returns will be accepted.  Any testing done will be explicitly stated in the listing and any accessory items will also be mentioned or pictured.  If it isn’t pictured or mentioned you can assume it is not part of the sale.

If the item being sold here requires a standard modular computer style AC cord I no longer ship those automatically on the theory that everyone has a box full of them already.  If you need one all you have to do is ask and it will be included in the sale.  IF you do NOT ask for one until after the item ships it is no longer part of the sale and I will not ship one separately.  Please note that if you ask for an AC cord I will be shipping a generic one, not a NeXT branded cord.
