c 1899 Wileman and Co daisy shaped trio in the blue on white Jungle print design, pattern #6088, very rare.

Produced at the Fenton works in Staffordshire prior to change of ownership to Foley, then Shelley.

All 3 pieces bear the Wileman & Co crown backstamp, hand painted pattern number and  either printed or impressed registration numbers on the base. 115510 refers to the daisy shaped design registered by Wileman's in 1888; and 117220 refers to the Jungle pattern registered by Wileman's in 1889.

Blue tones on a crisp white background with gilded banding, the cup has a faux bamboo designed handle. The fluted design is wonderfully tactile.

Dimensions:
Cup 6 cm tall and 10 cm from outer edge of cup to outer edge of handle.
Saucer 14 cm diameter.
Side plate 17 cm diameter.

There are no chips, repairs or restoration that I can identify. However, there are faults to be noted:
The saucer has a crack clearly seen on the reverse (refer image 4) and this runs through the piece creating a semi circular extension on the front.
The side plate has a glaze fault and a small nibble to the underside of the lip (refer image 6).

There are some very small inclusions & scorch marks in the glaze from the kiln process; and some discoloration & kiln flecks to the inside of the cup. These are very typical of the period and the highly manual processes.

Priced accordingly.

I have listed 6 identical sets plus 2 side plates and matched sugar bowl & jug in this pattern.
