Replacement for cracked/split Proto 2000 HO gears, Diesel Locomotive, Bo-Bo etc
These gears are to replace the notorious gears on Proto 2000 wheel axles which split apart with age.
This suits the 4 axle (8 wheel) Bo-Bo locos eg;
Also suits some Athearn & Bachmann Spectrum, possibly suits some Bowser, Austrains T, X, Y class locomotives. For comparison, these gears are 12teeth, 7mm diameter, 9mm wide and fit on a 2.35mm shaft.
Proto 2000 six axle (12 wheel, Co-Co) locos use a different gear and did not seem to suffer this issue.
As with most resin printed parts there may be some small variations in colour and finish. Current stock is grey (as pictured), when that runs out new stock will be black. Fitment is as simple as sliding off the old gear and sliding/twisting on the new one.
I have personally used these gears to repair 15x Proto 2000 Diesel locomotives (so far) and did not have to perform any finishing touches to the 60 gears used.
