A Genuine Vintage Hand Made Rag Rug from Sweden

This a traditional Craft and is very skilled work, there are numerous processes to master and each hand made rug takes a very long time to complete.

Sweden has a rich history and for those intersted i would certainly recommend doing some research on the subject its really interesting and enables some context of value to be put on such work.

The example here was bought directly from sweden, a town called Lammhult. its not an anique version but vintage, it has been used as a wall hanging rather than a floor mat and has been mounted with birch slats to enable it to hand straight, you may also notice the dedication on the bottom, I cannot read swedish but I thinks its a poem.

The overall design is typical with the stripes and the repeating pattern, reds and blue with the black for contrast.

Condition is it has been used as a floor rug in its life so please expect wear and tear, only latterly has been on the wall. Ill ensure its cleaned prior to sending.

I like transparency, so declare all my shipping costs upfront, I post within 24 hours of getting the order, I have to rely on collections so have to recevied the order by 22:00 if you want it dispatched the next day.

I am happy to send Internationally and do not use Ebays Global Shipping Program, just contact me with your location and ill calculate a cost based on Royal Mail International services, all international shipments will use a tracking service. The price on the listing is simply a guide to worldwide postage costs and therefore is not applicable until i know the location.

I sell in the main my personal preloved items and sometimes these will not have been new when I aquired them, therefore there will be wear and tear. I will always disclose damage and anything noteworthy, but the you the buyer need to take responsibility here to and ensure you are happy with the condition prior to purchase by asking relevant questions and looking over the photos provided closely as they will highlight the cosmetic appearance and must be considered when evaluating condition.
