British made mechanical movement, tin plate face with a diameter of 10". Featuring a number of traditional nursery rhyme characters such as Humpty Dumpty, The Cat and the Fiddle, Jack and Jill, Little Miss Muffet etc.

This has been in my possession since it was new some 60 plus years ago, the key has gone missing at some point but I wound it a few days ago using another key I have, (its a standard and very common square shaft, and a replacement key should be very easy to obtain) and it ran happily for 48 hours with a pleasant soothing tick and it kept excellent time.

In very good vintage condition, there is the odd tiny mark here and there but these are negligible. The face has a little age related darkening as you would expect, but the art work retains good colour and detail.

A nice example that would add a charming retro touch to any child's bedroom.
