This is a very nicely decorated antique Chinese pewter box. I’m not exactly sure what it was used for, but the two things of the title are my best guesses. I’m not sure if it had a little drawer in the middle that is not missing or if it was made like that. Both of the covers open fairly smoothly and the insides of them definitely hold some thing that affected the metal in some kind of way. Take a look at all the photos to see general condition. Came from an antique store that closed in San Francisco and I assume that it is from some point in the Qing dynasty.
