These are a great pair of MCM white candle holders, the white color matches with almost any color scheme, shabby chic country and art deco.  They are nicely weighty holders resembling two horns of plenty each candle holder. Design with culy cues at the round bases with ruffled edges at the top. This pair however has a chip on the bottom of one holder but the chip is not visible from the top side see photo otherwise they are excellent pre owned.

Raymond E. Bidwell started his company in 1908 and in 1934 started making pottery. Abingdon Pottery was made mostly with the use of molds, to better produce uniform pieces. They were also glazed with a thick heavy glaze. The pottery was known for its resistance to chips and cracks due to itfuns production methods. Many of their pieces were considered to be designed in the Art Deco fashion. Abingdon created many pieces for home decor, including candlesticks, platters, statues, decorative bowls, etc. The company stopped producing pottery in 1950 and changed to the production of plumbing supplies. The heavy vitreous clay and glaze used was ideal for plumbing applications.
