The Latin Percussion Generation III Wood Bongos (LP201A-3) elevate the traditional bongo design with a unique blend of aesthetics and performance. These bongos feature a larger head size, with the hembra (larger drum) boasting a 9-inch diameter, compared to the more common 8-5/8 inches, providing a deeper bottom end response and greater volume. The macho (smaller drum) measures 7-1/4 inches. Made from kiln-dried, environmentally friendly Siam Oak, these bongos are known for their durability and resonance. The shells have a more pronounced contour compared to previous generations, contributing to their robust sound. The bongos are equipped with hand-selected, natural rawhide heads, traditional rims, and Cuban-style bottoms, all complemented by chrome hardware. This design not only enhances the instrument's visual appeal but also its playability, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable playing experience.
