Sony Integrated Circuit Radio ICR-100 - Read Description

   · Good, pre-owned condition cosmetically. The radio doesn’t seem to hold charge. The charger light turns on (solid red) when plugged into the wall, but the radio never gets enough charge to power on. This is why this item will be sold as-is and without the option to return. I purchased this radio at an estate sale hoping it would work after a good charge and keep to use and display. I wish I knew how to troubleshoot and repair vintage electronics. It’s so cool.

   · The power switch clicks on and off. The tuning dial turns smoothly. The volume dial turns but not as smoothly as the tuning dial. Because I have never owned one of these before this one, I’m not sure if the “stiffness” on the volume dial is how it’s supposed to be or not. For me to rotate the volume dial back and forth between the “low” to “high” limits on the turn dial, I pinch the dial from opposing sides using my thumb and index finger and apply some downward pressure to be able to turn in.
