This original cabinet card photo depicts an African American man in the late 19th century, seated in a horse-drawn buggy, wearing a top hat, with kids in tow.

Measuring 8.75” x 6.75” the photo is an original piece that captures a glimpse of the Black Americana culture of the time. The photographer is noted on back as Kent Brothers - Garfield, NJ. You’ll also find a handwritten note on the back that reads as follows:

“House where Mom H. was born, Rutherford, N.J. w/handy man Tasker who lived in the N section. Mom H. in front seat”

This larger sepia tone cabinet card photo will make a great addition to any collection. The photos overall condition is poor due to the fact it’s been taped back together (please see all photos). I hope you appreciate this piece for its historical significance as much as I do.
