WWII German or British 'Half Crown' Spy Coin GEORGE VI
These hollow coins were, and still are, used by agents to carry data either in the form of coded messages or micro film, concealed in a hollow compartment. It is assumed that such a coin would have been of the type used by Axis agents active in Britain during and prior to WW2.
This original British Half Crown has been expertly precision hand-machined from two actual coins to create a secret interior compartment. Once closed, it is absolutely indistinguishable from a regular coin to the naked eye. It can be handled normally without any chance of an accidental opening. The coin is supplied with an opening device, without which it's next to impossible to open up the coin.
This is an old vintage pre 1945 coin and will show some wear. Dates vary between 1937 and 1945.
