Mamod TE1 from 1963 complete with all original features. The engine is not restored or repainted or even touched up and though fired it has not been many times. It might have had a firebox as the shine is really too good to be 1963 chrome but is chromed steel not modern stainless. I have not steamed it but it ran fine on compressed air.
It has all the well known features present like ultra rare smooth roof with original Phillips screws, square front axle with holes for steering rod, undrilled (for steering rod) smoke box, correct casting number front wheels, correct ridged rear wheels, square edge roof clip on the firebox that is good for cutting your fingers on!,"Mamod" counterbalance and 1/8 diameter shaft on the bracket riveted, not screwed, to the firebox.Single arm water bung and the scuttle has the round hole drilled that is a vestigial remain of the early rollers. It has been in my collection for a while and I have just cleaned it for the photos so please study them to be clear of what you are buying.
