Up for auction and your buying pleasure is a beautiful WMP 1946-48 Leedy Broadway Standard 5.5”x14”.

The inside shell is factory ink stamped 10/46 made in October of 1946.

This snare drum is in great condition & is sporting the black & silver Leedy Badge.

The white marine pearl has a beautiful interlacing, strata-like pearlescent pattern that is not the typical geometric pattern. There is a blemish by the left of badge, but no other issues with the rest of this beautiful pearl wrap.

This drum has 16/lug design with the small Leedy beaver tail lugs.

All of the lugs are solid and function beautifully. All original tension rods are present with original Leedy washers.

Leedy’s 3-point strainer and the extended butt plate functions beautifully to accommodate the Leedy extended snare wires.

The top and bottom hoops are original Leedy Nickel over Brass.

All of the remaining hardware is Nickel plated

The shell construction is Leedy’s 3/Ply maple-poplar-mahogany and is factory painted white to protect the inside shell.

This snare drum is also equipped with Leedy original snare wire.

This snare drum plays beautifully and is very articulated & bright with full body tone and resonance.

A very versatile drum for every style or genre of music.
