Graf von Clemens-Heinrich Kageneck (October 17th, 1913-March 18th, 2005) was a highly decorated Major in the Wehrmacht during World War II who commanded Panzer-Abteilung 503. He was also a recipient of the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves. Kageneck was awarded the Knight’s Cross for distinguishing himself with his Abteilung of Tiger tanks in the southern sector of operation Citadel, where his troops were of major help in supporting the assault of the III. Panzer-Korps.
